Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (Blu-ray)

The virus, released ten years ago, has wiped out most of humanity, and the few survivors live in urban ruins that remain of their former civilization.

During an expedition into the forest, a group led by Malcom (Jason Clarke) encounters an intelligent ape civilization living there under the leadership of Caesar (Andy Serkis). Malcom and Ellie (Keri Russell) realize that these apes, like humans, only want to defend what is important to them: their home, their families, and their freedom. Together, they advocate for mutual understanding and achieve a peace treaty, which, however, is short-lived. For Dreyfus (Gary Oldman), the apes are responsible for the virus and thus the declared enemies. He finds numerous followers who do not shy away from violence. A final confrontation seems inevitable – a battle ensues that is to definitively decide dominance over the Earth.
